Hauraki Treaty Settlement Negotiation

Kia ora whanau

Over the past few months a number of Ngati Tara Tokanui iwi members have approached Negotiators and members of the PSGE  expressing concerns regarding the Hauraki Treaty settlement negotiations.

There are currently a number of cross claims that remain outstanding and we are working with Collective members, our Chairman, and the Crown,  to resolve the issues as effectively as we can.

We are aware that members have requested information regarding specific cross claims and to enable discussion we are planning to ‘hold’ information hui at the next Ngahutoitoi Marae Committee hui the first Sunday of August.

If you are a registered member of Ngati Tara Tokanui and would like to discuss
matters relating to the Treaty Settlements we look forward to seeing you at the Marae meeting.

In the meantime we would like to thank you all for your forebearance patience and support regarding the Hauraki Treaty Settlements.
